The S.H.A.R.E. SENIOR CENTER is a division of the Island Recreation Association and is dedicated to providing all adults over 50 years of age with quality educational, recreational, and social activities. S.H.A.R.E. offers a variety of regularly scheduled activities, classes, and seminars including topics on health, travel, books, finance, and more. Some senior recreational options are bike groups, a softball team, computer club, scheduled card play, yoga, and bowling.
Additionally, day and overnight trips are offered throughout the year. Visitors are always welcome at the center to enjoy the lending library with books, magazines, newspapers, and tapes. There is a television viewing area, computers, light refreshments, and, of course, friendly people. Monthly social activities, holiday celebrations, and potluck gatherings are an important part of the Senior Center's schedule.
