Challenge Camp Recreation Leader
Recreation Leaders assist with the supervision and implementation of Challenge Camp. Challenge Camp is designed for children with special needs. This camp is integrated into our all day summer camp program. Applicants should have experience and the desire to work with children of all abilities. Challenge Camp runs Monday-Friday, June 5- July 28, 2017 with mandatory training on May 27th and 28th.
The goal of the Island Recreation Center Internship Program is to provide an intern with the opportunity to apply information and skills obtained in the classroom to real-life working situations. The internship also offers the opportunity to gain experience in planning, organizing, leading and evaluating various recreational programs.

Lifeguards work under the direction of the Head Life Guard and is responsible for ensuring the safety of facility patrons by preventing and responding to emergencies. Red Cross LG/CPR/AED/First Aid certification or equivalent is a must.
