Activity details

Learn the basics of rowing. The camp utilizes 1-4 person shells (boats) and will teach participants basic sculling (2 oars per rower) technique. Each participant will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to row an individual rowing shell (single) on their own. Rowing is a dynamic and inclusive sport that offers middle and high school students a powerful blend of physical fitness, mental focus, and teamwork. This low-impact, full-body workout builds strength, endurance, and cardiovascular health while being easy on growing joints. Beyond the physical benefits, rowing helps students develop confidence, discipline, resilience, and leadership skills as they learn to work together toward shared goals. With its supportive team environment and emphasis on personal growth, rowing provides teens with a positive, challenging, and rewarding activity that builds lifelong healthy habits, both on and off the water.

Please Note: Rowing is a sport. Participants must be capable of lifting 25+ lbs. and exerting themselves physically and cardio vascularly.
