This is a fundamental skill-based learning program. Kids will be taught basic skills of the sport including dribbling, passing, and shooting.

A fun flag football experience by teams wearing authentic replica NFL jerseys. PLEASE NOTE the season may go on until the second Sunday of March 2026. This will be determined by the need for make-up games, and/or the availability of refs (who are primarily HS kids). Parents, coaches, and players are expected to show the sportsmanship.
We will have a ZERO TOLERANCE policy regarding anyone displaying bad sportsmanship, or being negative towards anyone. Rules are catered for Recreation. NOTE: Please understand that your requests for team assignments (players, friends, coaches, etc) are NOT GUARANTEED.

HHI Track Club's winter track and field program provides young athletes with a structured opportunity to stay active and develop during the off-season. It helps improve speed, strength, and endurance while emphasizing proper running form and injury prevention. Athletes gain confidence through consistent training and goal setting, building both physical and mental resilience. Additionally, the program fosters teamwork, discipline, and a passion for lifelong fitness.
Frank Holland competed with Clemson University track program from 1987 to 1991 and has been involved with HHI High Track program since 2005. Corey Taylor competed with the University of South Carolina track program from 1999-2003 and has been involved with HHI High Track program since 2022. Running shoes, water bottle, and proper workout attire according to weather.

HHIHS Practice Soccer Field “The Swamp Field”
Stay sharp and build you soccer skills this winter at the Island Rec Center Winter Skills Soccer Camp! Led by professional coaches, campers will engage in focused skill development and fun, high-energy training.
“The Swamp Field”, is located next to the Lacrosse field and behind the softball outfield. Enter at the entrance gate of the HHIHS Lacrosse field and walk around to the right and you’ll see a path to the soccer field, behind left field of the softball complex.
The soccer lead will be Coach Lindsay Taylor. She is an USSF A Youth Licensed coach with over a decade of coaching experience.

We will take a guided nature walk through the trails of the park through Mari-time forest and salt marsh views. Plan to walk about 2 miles on varied terrain. There will be time to walk through the nature center as well.
Feel free to spend the rest of the afternoon on your own to explore one of Savannah’s many historic and scenic sites. We recommend bringing a light snack, water bottle, and sunscreen.

Island Rec Center
Participants will learn about the basics of competition robotics. The structure will be a brief description going over the different parts of robotics. This will then be followed by an extended period of time where people can drive the robot and ask questions.
Jayden Press will be leading this demonstration. Jayden is a high school student and has experience in robotics. The team he is representing placed 4th in the state, and as an individual he has designed multiple fully functioning robots.

New students must pay for a uniform. Through this program, you will learn self-confidence, a mixture of cardiovascular endurance, strength training, and flexibility exercises. This will improve reflexes and coordination while increasing strength and stamina. Overall fitness will be achieved.

To qualify, players mu be able to demonstrate advanced skills and fundamentals including groundstrokes, serves, dep, spin and control on a full 78-foot court. is clinic will focus on weapon development, transitioning between offense and defense, adding pace and spin, and direction of shots.
