The clinic emphasizes teamwork, sportsmanship, and the love of basketball, encouraging a positive and supportive environment.
Former Duke player, assistant coach, and NBA player, Will Avery will be the lead instructor.

To qualify, players mu be able to demonstrate advanced skills and fundamentals including groundstrokes, serves, dep, spin and control on a full 78-foot court. is clinic will focus on weapon development, transitioning between offense and defense, adding pace and spin, and direction of shots. Our introduction to the beautiful game! The Future Stars program is the first chance to learn the basic skill of the sport. Participants will learn foot control on the ball, and go through skill stations of shooting, passing, dribbling and throw-ins. Live play will also be incorporated. This is not a league, there are no full games or pre-made teams. Participants are there to learn the skill and incorporated them in modified game play each week.
Program is led by Island Rec Athletics Staff members and any interested volunteer coaches who would like to help teach skills.

Come be part of the largest and premier Island Recreation program offered! Participants will be placed on teams in their age division and with a coach. Coaches decide on their practice day and times during the week and communicate that with their team. There is a 7 week regular season and followed by a 1 week playoff tournament that every team 1st grade and up participates in. Island Rec Athletics staff governs the program and volunteer coaches assist with the teams they coach
Program is led by Volunteer coaches who enjoy the aspects of coaching and the sport of soccer. They can request 1 player outside of their own child for their team. Requests outside of that may be made, but are not guaranteed in the interest of creating balanced teams and fair competition.
Please bring/wear: shin guards and non-metal cleated soccer shoes

Come join us for a FREE, ONE NIGHT ONLY Youth Rugby Clinic with members of the USA Olympic Team and other capped internatonal players, as well as your favorite Hilton Head Rugby Club members. No experience required, come give it a try and bring a friend.
Hilton Head Rugby’s Alex MacDonald will be one of the leads on the clinic, but will be joined by official USA players and coaches from some of the best youth teams in the country. Stay tuned for a hopeful announcement on a surprise guest!

*Practices will be T, W, Th and games on Saturdays. Practices take place at Barker Field. Home games will be played at HHIHS stadium. The Gator football program will return to tradition in 2025. This youth contact program has been on Hilton Head Island since 1969. With our return, we will be going back to our traditional colors (green and yellow). In addition to developing football skills and techniques there will be a strong focus on teaching sportsmanship, teamwork, and life skills. Many coaches with varying levels of playing and coaching experience will help guide these young men.
Please bring/wear: Cleats, practice pants and shirt. The program will provide all game day wear (ie jersey, pants, helmet, shoulder pad). State ID, Military ID, or Passports will be required to play
