What brought you to the Island Rec?  After I relocated to the island, as a swimmer, I quickly found the Rec Center's fantastic pool. Unfortunately, the lap swim hours didn't match up with my work. Upon retirement, I happily hit the pool again not only for lap swimming, but also for the deep water aerobics. 

What is your favorite part about the Island Rec? Definitely the fact that the pool is temperature controlled all year long and that in the summer the temperature is refreshing no matter how hot the weather gets.

What is your preferred type of exercise here? Cate's fabulous deep water exercise class. Not only does she move the class through a well thought out exercise series but is also excellent at encouraging fun and connection among the participants. 

Favorite local restaurant: Amigos Cafe Y Cantina across from Lowcountry Celebration Park.

Where were you born? I was born in Central New York, and lived in both Denver, CO and Atlanta, GA prior to making Hilton Head my home.

Do you have any hobbies? If so, what? Hilton Head caught my eye for its beautiful bikeable beach! My two happy places are in the pool and on my beach bike.
