What brought you to Island Rec? I moved here a couple years ago to take care of my mom, so when I looked at joining a fitness club, I chose Island Rec because my mom told me to! It also had the best equipment for working out.

What’s your favorite part about Island Rec? My favorite part of Island Rec are all the folks that make this a great community. I have enjoyed meeting so many terrific people here and I enjoy seeing all the young students gather at the end of their school day and at sporting events here.

What’s your preferred type of exercise here? I definitely prefer using the rowing machines.

Do you have a favorite local restaurant? My favorite local restaurant is a tough one, but I would have to say Hudson’s. Nothing better than sitting out back and enjoying some great seafood and the view.

Where were you born? I was born in Chicago, Illinois. I have three sisters; I am number three of four kids.

What do you do for a living? I am an investor. I am a former Naval Officer and served in the US Navy Submarine Force, Investment Banker at several firms, and founded an investment firm focused on investing in high growth opportunities in Consumer Products, Real Estate and Technology.

Got any hobbies? What are they? I enjoy reading, am starting to play golf again, ride my bike, am a novice gardener and want to learn how to surf.
