We are excited to offer Hilton Head youth the opportunity to experience the fastest game on two feet. Our mission is to build a community lacrosse program for all levels by focusing on fundamentals, competition, and FUN. Beginners welcome.
All equipment must meet NOCSAE standards. Boys required equipment is a white helmet, shoulder pads, arm pads, gloves, mouth piece, protective cup (recommended), cleats, and lacrosse stick. Recommended beginner sticks: STX Stallion, String Kings Complete 2 Jr, Powell Scout, ECD Bravo, Warrior Burn. Limited equipment available to borrow.

Pre K/K division play Friday nights at Crossings Park. 1st grade and older play Saturdays at Chaplin Park. Practice locations are at the discretion of team coaches.
Divisions include: Pre K/Kindergarten, 1st/2nd grade, 3rd/4th grade, 5th/6th grade, 7th/9th grade
Practices are weekly between 4:30-7pm. Practice time and durationg are up to the volunteer coach.
The largest program at Island Rec! Come be part of the fun and tradition. Participants will be placed on teams with volunteer coaches and learn the basics of skill and strategy with weekly practices and weekend games and the end of season playoff tournament.
Lindsay is our Youth Soccer Coordinator and brings elite playing and coaching experience to the program. She was a Division I soccer athlete and has coached youth players at the recreational, developmental, and elite levels. With a background in sports science and athlete development, she focuses on helping kids build skills, confidence, and a love for the game.

Rowing is a dynamic and inclusive sport that offers middle and high school students a powerful blend of physical fitness, mental focus, and teamwork. This low-impact, full-body workout builds strength, endurance, and cardiovascular health while being easy on growing joints. Beyond the physical benefits, rowing helps students develop confidence, discipline, resilience, and leadership skills as they learn to work together toward shared goals. With its supportive team environment and emphasis on personal growth, rowing provides teens with a positive, challenging, and rewarding activity that builds lifelong healthy habits, both on and off the water.

Similar to the event in the spring, there will be a 10 minute short information section, followed by a 50 minute experience to drive and experiment with the robot. Participants will learn the process of designing a robot, as well as what goes into driving it. For the driving section, there will be 2 group, each with their own robot to try to control, so participants can see the difference between a first and third version design.
Jayden Press will be leading this program. Jayden is a high school student and has experience in robotics. The team he is representing placed 4th in the state, and as an individual he has designed multiple fully functioning robots.

This is an advanced “yellow ball” clinic. To qualify, players must be able to demonstrate advanced skills and fundamentals including groundstrokes, serves, depth, spin and control on a full 78-foot court. This clinic will focus on weapon development, transitioning between offense and defense, adding pace and spin, and direction of shots. Hilton Head Island Fire Rescue Facilities

H.O.T. (an acronym for Hands-On Training) Girls Summer Camp is designed for girls aged 12 to 16. This week-long camp provides an immersive and enjoyable experience led by professionals from Hilton Head Island Fire Rescue. Participants at the H.O.T. Girls Summer Camp, will take part in firefighting and emergency medical scenarios, gaining insight into the daily lives of fire and EMS professionals. The main goals of the camp are to foster leadership, enhance confidence, build physical fitness, and strengthen mental resilience. Members of Hilton Head Island Fire Rescue will be responsible for overseeing the H.O.T. Girls Summer Camp. This camp is open to girls who have not previously attended. For alumni of the H.O.T. Girls Summer Camp, we are excited to announce an advanced camp will be held in the fall. Members of Hilton Head Island Fire Rescue will be leading the program. Point of Contact is Captain Jenkins
Helmet, eye protection, foot protection, and gloves will be issued on the first day and returned on the last day.

Island Rec Main Gym
Our Volleyball Camp is designed for new and developing players who want to learn the fundamentals of volleyball in a fun, supportive environment. Campers will be introduced to basic skills such as passing, setting, serving, hitting, and volleyball movements, while also learning the rules of the game and proper court positioning.
Through drills, skill stations, and small-sided games, athletes will build confidence, coordination, and teamwork. Emphasis is placed on good technique, sportsmanship, and having fun while learning. No prior volleyball experience is required.
This camp is perfect for players who are just starting out or looking to strengthen their foundation and prepare for future team play.
Coach Andrew Dale, Owner/Director of HHI Beach Volleyball: Andrew has over 22 years of middle and high school coaching experience and is the Owner and Club Director of Hilton Head Island Beach Volleyball. He began playing volleyball in high school, continued at Bloomsburg University, and later moved to Greenville, SC to coach while competing in indoor and grass volleyball. His coaching career includes multiple state semifinal appearances, club region championships, 100+ career wins at HHCA, Coach of the Year honors, and athletes who have qualified for national beach volleyball tournaments and committed to colleges.

HHIHS Soccer Stadium - The Nest
The Island Recreation Center is excited to host a FREE soccer clinic for local youth players on Sunday, February 22nd, from 1-3PM, proudly supported by the Hilton Head Island High School boys and girls soccer programs.
This special clinic gives young players the chance to train alongside and learn from current HHIHS soccer players, creating a fun, energetic environment that builds skills, confidence, and excitement for the game. It’s also a great opportunity to start building a strong connection between rec soccer and our high school programs, showing kids what’s possible as they grow in the sport.
All skill levels are welcome—come ready to move, learn, and have fun!
All players must be registered prior to the event. Spots are limited, so be sure to register and join us for an afternoon of soccer, mentorship, and community!

HHI Track Club's winter track and field program provides young athletes with a structured opportunity to stay active and develop during the off-season. It helps improve speed, strength, and endurance while emphasizing proper running form and injury prevention. Athletes gain confidence through consistent training and goal setting, building both physical and mental resilience. Additionally, the program fosters teamwork, discipline, and a passion for lifelong fitness.
Frank Holland competed with Clemson University track program from 1987 to 1991 and has been involved with HHI High Track program since 2005. Corey Taylor competed with the University of South Carolina track program from 1999-2003 and has been involved with HHI High Track program since 2022. Running shoes, water bottle, and proper workout attire according to weather.
