The Sons of Thunder & Daughters of Zion HHI Wrestling Club helps young athletes ages 5 through high school build confidence, discipline, and resilience while learning the fundamentals of one of the world’s oldest and most rewarding sports.
The club offers instruction in folkstyle, freestyle, and Greco-Roman wrestling within a positive, structured environment. Practices are held on spring-loaded wrestling floors, providing athletes with a safer and more comfortable training surface.
The goal is to help every wrestler grow stronger both on and off the mat by developing balance, coordination, mental toughness, confidence, and respect for others. Boys and girls of all experience levels are welcome, and the club is committed to helping each athlete reach their full potential.

Public elementary school students will get picked up at school by Island Rec staff!
Get ready to learn, play, and have fun on the court! Kidzone Pickleball is designed for ages 8–11 and 12-14 and introduces kids to the exciting game of pickleball in a fun, positive, and energetic environment.
Players will learn the fundamentals of pickleball, including serving, returning, rallying, scoring, footwork, and court positioning, while building coordination, confidence, and sportsmanship. Through engaging drills, games, and friendly competition, kids will develop their skills while making new friends and having a great time.
Bring/wear: Court shoes and paddle if you have one

Smaller racquets and slower balls are a game changer in terms of learning quickly, developing basic tennis and athletic skills, and having fun. Public Tennis (PTI) offers tennis clinics and introductory play opportunities for children, adults, and adaptive athletes. We make tennis fun! This advanced “yellow ball” clinic is designed for players who are ready to compete and train on a full 78-foot court. To participate, players should be able to demonstrate advanced fundamentals including groundstrokes, serves, depth, spin, and consistent ball control.
Players will focus on developing their individual strengths, transitioning effectively between offense and defense, adding pace and spin, and improving shot direction and placement. Drills and competitive play will help players build confidence, consistency, and a more complete all-court game.

Cheer Practice 10/21 from 4:00 to 5:30 PM
Hilton Head Island High School
Join us for a fun-filled cheer camp and perform at the Pink Out Football Game under the Friday Night Lights! Learn cheers, chants, and a special game-day routine while helping raise awareness in the fight against cancer.
Practice will be on Wednesday, 10/21, from 4:00 to 5:30 to review material. Campers will arrive at the game by 6:30 pm for sideline practice and participate in the tunnel run-through before the game. All participants will return to the stands to watch the game until halftime to perform.

New students must pay for a uniform. Through this program, you will learn self-confidence, a mixture of cardiovascular endurance, strength training, and flexibility exercises. This will improve reflexes and coordination while increasing strength and stamina. Overall fitness will be achieved.

During the clinic, participants will engage in various drills focusing on fundamental basketball skills such as dribbling, shooting, passing, and defense. Will Avery, along with his coaching staff, will share his expertise, offering personalized guidance to help each player improve their game. The clinic emphasizes teamwork, sportsmanship, and the love of basketball, encouraging a positive and supportive environment.
Former Duke player, assistant coach, and NBA player, Will Avery will be the lead instructor.
